Privacy notice
Your information, treated with care.
Adalah Recruitment Ltd is committed to handling personal information fairly, transparently and securely. This notice explains what we collect, why we use it and the choices available to you when you use our website or recruitment services.
Who we are
Adalah Recruitment Ltd, company number 17370569, is the controller of personal information covered by this notice. Our registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. Privacy questions can be sent to hello@adalahrecruitment.co.uk.
Information we collect
Employer enquiries may include contact and company details, role requirements, salary, location, availability and an uploaded job description. Candidate registrations may include contact details, employment history, career preferences, salary expectations, location, notice period, right-to-work information and a CV. We also keep relevant correspondence, interview and placement records created during a recruitment process.
Please do not send special-category or highly sensitive information unless we specifically request it and explain why it is needed.
How and why we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries, assess roles and candidate relevance, communicate about recruitment services, introduce candidates with their knowledge, administer interviews and placements, keep appropriate business records, protect our services and meet legal obligations.
Depending on the circumstances, our lawful basis will usually be taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, complying with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interests in operating a responsible recruitment business. Where a different basis is required, we will explain it at the relevant time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with prospective employers and candidates as part of an agreed recruitment process; with service providers that host or support our systems; and with professional advisers, regulators or authorities where necessary. Candidate details are not introduced to an employer without an appropriate conversation and agreement.
International transfers and security
Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where this occurs, we use appropriate safeguards required by data-protection law. We apply proportionate technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep it
Website candidate registrations, initial employer briefs and general enquiries are normally reviewed and deleted 24 months after receipt. If a placement, client engagement, dispute or legal obligation arises, relevant records may be kept for a different period required by law or reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. You may ask us to review or erase your information earlier.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your information, to object to its use, or to receive a portable copy. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis used. These rights are not absolute; contact us and we will explain the position.
Automated decisions
We do not use this website to make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on candidates or employers.
Cookies and website data
The site may use strictly necessary security, session and infrastructure technologies required to operate the service and protect submissions. We do not currently use advertising cookies or behavioural profiling on this website. If this changes, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated.
